Or visit Nancy’s Bar a real traditional favourite. Further west we head to Glencomcille, the cultural heart of the county. Here we will visit the Folk Village where you can see what life was like before, during and after the great hunger of 1845-1847, we will have an optional lunch at one of the great local pubs and plenty of locals songs and stories before travelling on to Slieve League, Europe’s Highest Sea cliffs and an area of outstanding natural beauty, (the cobwebs will definitely be blown away here). Time to wander before heading to the picturesque village of Kilcar where we will stop at the famous Pipers Rest thatched pub, for a wee while, then via Killybegs, Ireland’s largest fishing port and back to our accommodation – tonight we have a musical session in one of Donegal’s oldest and best loved Pubs – Bonners Bar, Mullaghduff.
